Fractional Website Management

Strategic Website Support, Without the Overhead

Many organizations struggle with outdated websites, slow response times, paying for unneeded services and a revolving door of volunteers or freelance developers.

The result? Missed donations, a decline in sales, poor accessibility, and digital frustration that undermines your mission and revenue.

You need expert-level oversight — but hiring a full-time web professional might not be feasible.

That’s where a Fractional Website Manager comes in.

What is a Fractional Website Manager?

A Fractional Website Manager is a part-time, contract-based partner who takes full ownership of your website’s health, performance,
and strategic growth — for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

Unlike traditional agencies that disappear after launch or freelancers juggling too many clients, a Fractional Website Manager
becomes a part of your team. They ensure your website consistently supports your fundraising, outreach,
and operational goals with ongoing care, insights, and improvements.

Services can include all – or some – of the following.
We work with nonprofits and B2Bs – even with small budgets.

Client: A regional nonprofit animal rescue organization

The Challenge: The organization reached out after being referred for what they believed was a compromised website. Their WordPress site was acting erratically and showing signs of being hacked — a major red flag given that it also accepted donations online. But during the site audit, a far more costly issue came to light.

What I Discovered: While the site had indeed been compromised and needed immediate cleanup, the real issue was hidden in plain sight: they were unknowingly paying over $12,000/year in premium hosting fees for a plan meant for enterprise-level websites. Their site only had 78 pages, low monthly traffic, and modest content demands. There was no technical justification for the level of hosting they had been sold.

The Solution: I resolved the hack first — restoring a clean, secure version of their website and implementing malware protection, backups, and regular updates. Then I transitioned them to a more affordable and secure hosting plan, saving just over $12,000/year.

The Result: Monthly hosting costs dropped from $1,000+ to $50 — freeing up more than $12K annually to be redirected toward animal care, staff support, and community outreach. The site was secured, stabilized, and backed by an additional proactive maintenance plan as part of my fractional services.
