KidSpirit
Migration from custom CMS to WordPress using customer provided design.

KidSpirit is a digital magazine that provides teens a place to share their art. Poems, paintings, stories and more are submitted and shared from all over the world.
Unfortunately, their custom CMS failed to provide them the flexibility they needed to share the content and required developer intervention for basic functionalities.
In just 3 months, the site was relaunched and the client is now able to 100% self-manage their website!
Project highlights:
- Migrated & Reformatted over 3,000 content pieces into WordPress, preserving structure and SEO integrity
- Redesigned & Managed the database for optimized performance, scalability, and data accuracy
- Transferred & Verified all media assets, ensuring each image remained correctly associated with its content
- Built Custom Post Types & Taxonomies to simplify content organization and streamline backend workflows
- Developed a Custom Theme using GeneratePress that flawlessly mirrored the client’s existing branding and user experience
